That cartoon nailed it. Good one!

They forgot to add how people who are home schooled are generally excentric and socially awkward.

Um, actually, the most socially awkward people I've ever known were public schoolers, and some of the most social people I've ever met were homeschoolers... Also, what's wrong with being eccentric?

"excentric" - a perfect example of the efficacy of our public schools. Next time provide some evidence to back up your claims instead of making bold generalizations.

Like that cartoon?

Nice. Really, people whine so much about how we have to have public schools because if they didn't exist, everyone would be moronic-but the question to ask is, who on earth decided that the best way to educate a child is to put them in a hard seat facing a chalkboard for eight hours a day? It didn't spread because it was good, it spread because political decision making is almost without exception simple minded and contrary to the facts of reality.
